Testes / Scrotum Ultrasound

Trans dermal (skin surface) ultrasound to assess the testes and associated soft tissue structures.
Trans-dermal ultrasound scan. You will be asked to remove your clothes from the waist down and lie under a sheet. You will be covered up as much as possible for the scan. Some warm gel is applied to the scrotum and a probe is used to transmit ultrasound images to the screen for interpretation.

These scans are to assess the testes and surrounding structures and are done for many reasons e.g. to assess masses or lumps, pain and swelling.
